METHOD FOR SELECTING HYPOLIPIDEMIC THERAPY IN FEMALE PATIENTS WITH METABOLIC SYNDROME AGED OVER 50

A method for selecting the hypolipidemic therapy in the female patients with metabolic syndrome aged over 50 provides for examination followed by Atorvastatin treatment prescribed based on the results of examination. When 3 months of Atorvastatin treatment is not highly effective, thyrotropin blood content is assayed. When thyrotropin blood content exceeds 4.0 mU/mL, Levothyroxin sodium is used at the doses selected on an individual basis.
