A vortex turbulence washer with a device generating pulsed corona discharges (VPW with PCD) is designed for purification of gaseous and liquid of the impurities of different composition (particulate, gaseous and microbial). The apparatus used dry, wet and electric purification methods that are implemented by gravity, inertia, centripetal methods, as well as by filtering and action of a pulsed corona discharge. The principle of operation of VPW with PCD: gas to be cleaned is filtered through a rotating drop-grained cylindrical surface and liquid and gas are subject to action of pulsed corona discharge. As a result, the suspended impurities, water-soluble gases and microorganisms are removed from the gas, and undesirable micro-organic vegetable and other impurities are removed from the liquid by pulsed corona discharge. VPW with PCD allows complex more effective cleaning of the gas and liquid in one device than existing multi-stage purification devices of gaseous and liquid media, and can be used in many industries for comprehensive purification of liquids and gases. |
