PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF 2-DICHLOROMETHYLPYRIDINES

A process for the preparation of 2-dichloromethylpyridines of general formula:,wherein: R = H, (I)R = CH(II).N-dichlorophosphoryltrichloroacetimidoyl chloride interacts with isoprene or 2,3-dimethylbutadiene at boiling in diethyl ether or benzene for 3-5 hours with further acid hydrolysis of intermediate tetrahydropyridines that are formed at first stage followed by separation of desired products by conventional methods.
