A method for protecting tomatoes against noctuids Caradrina at private farms such that in the spring period soil digging is carried out with the following two techniques of soil loosening. In addition, in the period of egg-laying of the females of each of the generations of the noctuids at least eight techniques of settling a laboratory culture of Trichogramma of the species Trichogramma pintoi Voeg. are carried out. In doing so the Trichogramma of the first degree of quality only is settled. Also the first two settlings of the Trichogramma are carried out at the imago stage with an interval of 3-4 days, the following settlings at the stage of parasitized eggs of grain moth, 18-24 hours prior to rebirth of imago. Moreover, the Trichogramma is also settled onto the plants surrounding tomatoes at a distance of 1.5-2.0 m. In doing so the Trichogramma is settled as eggs of the grain moth infected therewith and glued onto cards of hardened paper. In addition, the cards are fixed onto the central tomato stalk at a distance of 8-10 cm from the soil surface. In doing so at the first two settlings 35-40 females per one bush are consumed, at the following six ones 45-50 females, furthermore, in the period of development of the second-third generations of the noctuids, in the period of appearance of caterpillars elder than the third age two techniques of settling a laboratory culture of ectoparasite Habrobracon (Habrobracon hebetor Say.) onto tomatoes are carried out in an equivalent by 18-20 imagos per bush with an interval of 6-7 days. |
