<p>PURPOSE: A circuit and a method for driving an organic light emitting diode display are provided to reduce power consumption by selectively data lines through a multiplex to sample/hold a threshold voltage. CONSTITUTION: In a circuit and a method for driving an organic light emitting diode display, a source driver(30) respectively interlinks data line to the input channel of multiplexer. A source driver detects all threshold voltage of the organic light-emitting diode. The source driver samples/holds the threshold voltage, and it converts it into a digital signal and stores it in a memory. A display panel(10) includes the organic light-emitting diode at the cross point of a plurality of gate lines and data lines. A threshold voltage detection controller(40) successively turns on the transistor for detecting a threshold voltage in horizontal to supply a precharge voltage.</p> |
