PURPOSE: A siliconized composition consisting of SiO2 and MgF2 and a siliconizing method using the same are provided to enable high-silicon steel sheet to be easily produced using a more convenient device. CONSTITUTION: A siliconizing method using SiO2 and MgF2 comprises following steps. SiO2 powder and MgF2 powder are mixed to generate mixed powder. The content of MgF2 of the mixed powder is 0.05wt%~4.0wt%. Low-silicon steel sheet with silicon of below 4wt% makes contact with the mixed powder. The low-silicon steel sheet making contact with the mixed powder is heated at a given temperature for a given time and is siliconized. The given temperature is 1000°C~1200°C. The amount of silicon of the siliconized low-silicon steel sheet is proportional to square root of the given time.
