PURPOSE: A color filter using surface plasmon and a liquid crystal display device are provided to improve an aperture ratio and the transmittance of a panel by using surface plasmon without using conventional dye or pigment. CONSTITUTION: In a color filter(350') using surface Plasmon, a first sub color filter(350a') is formed by forming a first transparent film pattern less than a certain wavelength on a first metal film. A second sub filter(350b') is formed by forming a second transparent film pattern less than a certain wavelength on a second metal film. A third sub filter(350c') is formed by forming a third transparent film pattern less than a certain wavelength on a third metal film. The first, second, third sub color filters of a hexagon shape are engaged with each other. |
