PURPOSE: A method for flame retardant finishing of fiber is provided to coating uniformity of flame proofing agent and to reduce combustibility of fiber. CONSTITUTION: A method for flame retardant finishing of fiber comprises: a step of mixing phosphoric flame retardant and binder in a solution at room temperature for 30-90 minutes to prepare a flame proofing agent(S1); a step of applying the flame proofing agent on at least one side of fiber(S2); and a step of drying the fiber(S3). The binder is methyl metha acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, or polyurethane.
