PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to improve a thermal conductivity of a cover bottom arranged in around a light source. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises an LCD panel(12), a backlight unit including a light source(15) for projecting light to the LCD panel, and cover bottoms(17A,17B) placed under the backlight unit. A first cover bottom is placed under the light source and a second cover bottom is placed in a separated place from the light source. The first cover bottom has better thermal conduction property than the second cover bottom.
