PURPOSE: An ultrasonic cleaning apparatus and method for a heat exchanger are provided to improve cleaning efficiency because a plurality of ultrasonic elements are arranged to change specific patterns generated by overlap and damping of ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic cleaning apparatus for a heat exchanger comprises a rail(200) and a mobile robot(300). The rail surrounds a heat exchanger. The mobile robot is equipped with ultrasonic elements and installed to move along the rail. The ultrasonic elements project ultrasonic wave into the heat exchanger to clean the interior of the heat exchanger.
