PURPOSE: A vehicle starting system is provided to enable a driver to start a vehicle even if there is no separate smart key holder in the vehicle, since NF(Near Field) communication is used if a driver can start the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle starting system comprises a smart key(100) and a start control device(300). The smart key communicates at a normal frequency range or an emergency frequency range depending on the state of a vehicle. The smart key generates and stores encrypted codes to match with encryption initiating codes. An encryption initiating code generator generates the encryption initiating codes. The start control device controls the start operation of the vehicle depending on RF signals, which are received from the smart key. The start control device initiates an emergency start operation if the encrypted codes are effective. The start control device finishes the emergency start operation if the encrypted codes are not effective. |
