PURPOSE: A text based mobile communication system and a method thereof are provided to perform a text based call connection instead of a number input type call connection. CONSTITUTION: If a flag is off and a text process is not performed for a mobile terminal, a service server(300) creates a second text by performing text process for a reception terminal number. A text process server(400) receives a second text and a text search request about the transmission terminal number from the service server. The text process server transmits a first text which contains the transmission terminal number and a second text to the transmission terminal and the reception terminal.
