PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for managing a content service in a network based on content use history are provided to prevent the repeated purchasing or repeated storage of content by collectively managing content use behavior based on content use history. CONSTITUTION: A content use request receiver(110) receives a request for the use of content from a specific device among the devices of a network. A related-information manager(120) collects and manages at least one of the following: content attribute information, device attribute information, user attribute information, and content use history information. Based on the one of the content attribute information, device attribute information, user attribute information, and content use history information, a content providing controller(130) determines the method for the access to the content. |
