PURPOSE: A channel estimation method for a coherent impulse-radio ultra-wide-band(IR UWB) receiver under imperfect carrier frequency are provided to improve the precision by eliminating the effect of a remained frequency offset. CONSTITUTION: Multipath profiles with respect to UWB signals are generated(201). Phase differences between the multipath profiles are calculated(202). A remained frequency offset is estimated based on the phase differences between the multipath profiles(203). The remained frequency offset of the UWB signals are corrected(204). While the multipath profiles with respect to the UWV signals are generated, multipath profiles are generated based on a cross correlation between the UWV signals and pre-set preamble signals. |
