PURPOSE: A battery pack and a driving method thereof are provided to make a charge switch, discharge switch and fuse off when a battery cell is replaced in a battery pack and to enhance the safety of the battery pack. CONSTITUTION: A battery pack(100) includes: battery cells(110); charge/discharge switches(150) which are installed in a charge/discharge line of the battery cell; and a micro computer(130) which senses and stores the voltage of the battery cell and controls the charge/discharge switches according to the voltage of the sensed battery cells. If the micro computer is reset, the micro computer compares the voltage of the battery cell before and after reset. If the changes is present in the voltage of battery cells, the micro computer makes one of the charge/discharge switches off. |
