PURPOSE: A functional green tea beverage is provided to prevent the obesity by reducing body weights of a user by using conventional medium-grade green tea. CONSTITUTION: A functional green tea beverage is obtained by inserting greed tea, barley, and polygonum multiflorum into hot water, and extracting for 1minute and 30seconds~3minutes. The green tea is conventional medium-grade green tea. 5~15g of green tea per 500ml of water is added to the hot water. 10~30g of roasted barley per 500ml of water is added to the hot water. 2~5g of washed and crushed polygonum multiflorum per 500ml of water is added to the hot water. The temperature of the hot water is 80~100deg C.
