PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescent display device and a method of driving the same are provided to improve image quality by analyzing an image signal at frame and determining the kind of an image to limit a current. CONSTITUTION: In an organic electroluminescent display device and a method of driving the same, an organic electroluminescence panel(120) comprises a light emitting diode. The organic electroluminescence panel displays an image. A timing controller(150) analyzes an image signal corresponding to an image at fame and determines the kind of an image. A current measuring unit(142) measures the current of a power voltage supplied to a light emitting diode in real time and transmits it to the timing controller. A current limiting unit limit the current of the power voltage. |
