PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problem that in an electronic scanning type array antenna apparatus which employs a circular polarization element antenna as an antenna element, when a beam is scanned at a wide angle, a cross polarized wave component is increased. SOLUTION: In the electronic scanning type array antenna apparatus employing the circular polarization element antenna as the antenna element, a cross polarization element antenna is added, which mainly radiates a cross polarized wave component, and an amplitude and a phase of the cross polarized wave component radiated from the antenna are controlled, thereby reducing a cross polarized wave component in a beam-forming direction during wide-angle beam scanning.
