PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lens holding frame from being rotated by an external force. SOLUTION: A lens barrel includes: an air core-type stepping motor 30 that rotates with an optical axis of a lens as a center of rotation; an interlocking key 13b that transmits rotation of the stepping motor 30 to the lens holding frame 12 and rotates the lens holding frame 12; a cam pin 12a and helicoid 14a that convert the rotation of the lens holding frame 12 by the interlocking key 13b into reciprocation in an optical axis direction of the lens 11; and a brake unit 110 that prevents the lens holding frame 12 from being rotated by the external force.
