PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image forming device having the same, which are superior in ease of use for a user, by preventing double feeding of sheets (documents). SOLUTION: This sheet feeder 1 includes a carrying passage forming member 34 forming a sheet carrying passage T for carrying a sheet 50, a paper feeding roller 4 for feeding the sheet 50 to the sheet carrying passage T, a double feeding preventive part 5 arranged on the downstream side of the paper feeding roller 4 in the sheet carrying direction and constituted so as to prevent double feeding of the sheet 50 fed to the sheet carrying passage T on the paper feeding roller 4, and a switching means for moving the carrying passage forming member 34 so that the attitude of the sheet carrying passage T when carrying the sheet 50, switches between a first attitude feeding the sheet 50 in a substantially straight line shape to the double feeding preventive part 5 from the paper feeding roller 4 and a second attitude separating the sheet 50 in a curvature when the sheet 50 is doubly fed.
