PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle hot water generating unit capable of efficiently generating hot water in a short time and excellent in safety, space-saving, and reduction in weight and cost. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle hot water generating unit includes a heating tank 30; and a heater unit 11 stored in the heating tank. The heater unit has a PTC element; a pair of electrode members adhered to each of a pair of electrode surfaces to clamp the PTC element; an insulation sheet for wrapping the PTC element and the electrode member and having flexibility, thermal conductivity and electric insulation property; a cylinder body 12 for storing the PTC element and the electrode member wrapped by the insulation sheet at the inside and having a pair of plate-like heat-release surfaces opposed to each of the pair of electrode surfaces; and a sealing body 13 for sealing an end opening of the cylinder body.
