PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen that prevents a decrease in contrast without complicating its configuration, and to provide an image projection system. SOLUTION: The screen 2 includes a prism layer 21 and an intermediate layer 22 lower in refractive index than the prism layer 21. The prism layer 21 includes: a first face 21A disposed in contact with the intermediate layer 22; a second face 21B inclined at a first inclination angleθa relative to the first face 21A; and a third face 21C inclined relative to the first face 21A and the second face 21B. The first inclination angleθa is set such that projection light L1 traveling at a first angleθs relative to the first face 21A and incident on the second face 21B is totally reflected by the first face 21A and outside light L2 traveling at a second angleθt smaller than the first angleθs relative to the first face 21A and incident on the second face 21B is transmitted through the first face 21A.
