<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that can further reduce the unevenness of brightness of a display. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of lenses, which are arranged for a back light, are arranged in order of 13a, 13b, and 13c in an x direction relative to the arrangement of three LEDs 12. The lens 13b is formed to be symmetrical with its central axis as a reference, and the central axis of light emitted from the lens 13b is oriented in a z direction.
