摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use electric energy accumulated in a battery, to realize efficient regeneration of the electric energy to the battery and to realize travel which efficiently uses the electric energy accumulated in the battery. <P>SOLUTION: An operation support device includes an inter-vehicle distance control function and performs driving control according to a remaining amount of the electric energy accumulated in the battery 5 and whether target acceleration for permitting a self-vehicle to follow a preceding vehicle is an acceleration direction or deceleration direction based on the inter-vehicle distance control function. The electric energy accumulated in the battery is efficiently used in accordance with the remaining amount of the battery 5 and the target acceleration, or the electric energy is efficiently regenerated to the battery 5 and a traveling state of the vehicle is controlled so that deterioration and burden of the battery 5 are reduced.
