PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for an optical waveguide, having excellent thick membrane-forming properties, curability, heat resistance, etc.; to provide a method for preparing the composition; and to provide the optical waveguide using the composition. SOLUTION: The composition includes a specific bisphenol-type bisoxetane ether compound and a compound having a vinyl ether group. The waveguide comprises a substrate 1, clad layer 2 formed on the substrate 1 and a core part 3 having a prescribed pattern, transmitting an optical signal and formed in the clad layer 2.
