PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus reducing overflowing of a cleaning liquid for preventing deposition and drying of a solid material (solute of ink) on a liquid (ink) receiving part, from the opening of a flushing part as far as possible, and preventing the solid material from being deposited and dried on the liquid receiving part, and also, suppressing production of mist. SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a head 16 in which a nozzle formation surface 16a with a nozzle array is disposed with inclination with respect to a horizontal plane; and the flushing part 30. The flushing part 30 includes: a cleaning liquid storage tank 40 for storing the cleaning liquid F and having the opening 46 formed in the inclined surface facing the nozzle formation surface in parallel with it; and a rotating roller 56 disposed in the cleaning liquid storage tank. The rotating roller 56 includes the liquid receiving part (ink receiving part 42) positioned in parallel with the nozzle formation surface to receive the liquid from the nozzle openings through the opening 46, and the liquid receiving part which has received the liquid is made movable in the cleaning liquid F by the rotation of the roller 56.
