PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing member capable of detecting its displacement for deformation accompanying extension, and to provide a sensor provided with the sensing member. SOLUTION: Concerning the sensing member, including a conductor having coil shape and an elastic support, the conductor having the coil shape is wound so that a winding diameter, a winding pitch, and a winding angle are uniform in a direction of a longitudinal axial line of the conductor having the coil shape, is characterized by being directly or indirectly attached to the elastic support along the elastic support in the longitudinal axial line so that the winding angle of the conductor having the coil shape changes to be interlocked with extension deformation of the sensing member.
