PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron capable of easily exchanging an iron tip even when the iron tip is heated at the soldering work or the like in case of exchanging the iron tip of the soldering iron. SOLUTION: The soldering iron includes: an iron tip whose end 10a is composed so as to melt solder, and in which base ends are provided with male terminals 24; and an iron body 50 incorporating female terminals 61 and integrated with the iron tip 10 by the fastening between the male terminals 24 and the female terminals 61. The outer circumference of the iron tip 10 is provided with a grip part (grip) 27 having heat insulating properties and also covering the vicinity of the base ends of the iron tip 10, the inside of the grip part 27 is provided with a plurality of projection parts projecting to the inner part of the inside, the inner circumferential face of the projection part is tightly stuck with the outer circumferential face in the vicinity of the base ends of the iron tip 10, and an air layer is formed between the projection parts.
