PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap motor which is low in iron loss (efficient) and is low-cost, with high quality soft magnetic materials arranged perfectly suitably, by fulfilling a reduction in torque pulsation, sine wave realization of an induced voltage and an improvement in design flexibility. SOLUTION: In the axial gap motor, in which a stator and a rotor are counterposed across a space, stator teeth, which constitute the stator, each include a stator tooth barrel 101, a stator tooth end 102, which is combined with the stator tooth barrel 101, and a stator coil 2, which is arranged around the barrel 101 of the stator tooth. The stator tooth barrel 101 is constituted of a wound core where an amorphous foil band is rolled. The stator tooth end 102 is constituted of a compact of dust core, and has a facing plane which faces the rotor, and the sectional area of a plane vertical to the rolling axis of the amorphous foil band is larger than the sectional area of a plane vertical to the rolling axis of the amorphous foil band of the stator tooth barrel 101.
