PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrating device or the like, which allows an object including dust to be moved efficiently in a predetermined direction through vibration. SOLUTION: The vibrating device is equipped with: a vibrator having a plurality of electromechanical energy conversion elements; a power source for applying an AC voltage to the plurality of electromechanical energy conversion elements; and a control circuit for controlling the AC voltage to be applied by the power source. The control circuit causes the vibrator to generate, with a predetermined time phase difference, a first standing wave and a second standing wave of different degrees wherein a plurality of nodal lines are disposed side by side in the same direction. The vibrator has at least one of the electromechanical energy conversion elements disposed in the same direction as the nodal lines, and has at least one of the electromechanical energy conversion elements disposed in a direction where the nodal lines are arranged side by side.
