<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture capable of preventing a lamp pin from dropping out from a socket caused by circling of a double-spiral fluorescent lamp. <P>SOLUTION: In the fluorescent lamp 20 having an arc tube 22 circled in a spiral shape, the lamp pins 21 of bases 23 arranged on both ends are retained on lamp sockets 17, and the arc tube 22 is retained with a lamp support spring 18 mounted on a fixture body 12. In this case, the lamp support spring 18 retains a section which is the outermost periphery of the arc tube 22 of the fluorescent lamp 20 and located at a position not near the base 23. The retained section is apt to enlarge a radius R from the center of the fluorescent lamp 20 when the lamp pin 21 of the fluorescent lamp 20 is circled in a direction dropped out from the socket 17, thereby the circling of the fluorescent lamp can be prevented with the lamp support spring 18.
