<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose an antenna device having horizontal directivity without deviation, and responding to a wide band. <P>SOLUTION: This antenna device is structured such that a pair of planar antenna elements A are arranged at positions facing each other on the same plane by interposing a gap G, and the gap G is composed of a parallel region Gp where one-side ends are set at a constant distance, and an expansion region Ge where the distance between the other-side end sides monotonically increases.
