<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polarizing plate that uses a PVA polarizer, with which the polarizing plate having excellent reliability under high temperature and high humidity conditions and having excellent durability can be produced. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the polarizing plate in which two protective films are stuck together to sandwich a polyvinyl alcohol polarizer therebetween, and the water vapor permeability of each protective film is 5 to 300 (g/m<SP>2</SP>per 24h) at 40°C×90%R.H. The polyvinyl alcohol polarizer is dried so that its moisture content is adjusted to 15% by weight or less after a dyeing process in which a polyvinyl alcohol film is caused to adsorb a dichromatic dye, a cross-linking process in which cross-linking is performed using a boron compound, and a stretching process in which the film is uniaxially stretched in a bath. The moisture content of the polarizing plate in which the protective film is stuck to the polyvinyl alcohol polarizer in the state of the moisture content described above is 3% by weight or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
