摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire enhancing rubber strength and modulus of elasticity than a conventional level without increasing a heat-generation property. SOLUTION: In the rubber composition for the tire, 0.1-8 pts.wt. of a benzimidazole compound represented by formula (1), 40-90 pts.wt. of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 25-80 m<SP>2</SP>/g and 5-40 pts.wt. of a phenol resin are formulated relative to 100 pts.wt. of a diene based rubber containing 50-100 wt.% of a natural rubber (wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents at least one selected from COOH, COOR<SP>2</SP>, (CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>COOH and (CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>COOR<SP>2</SP>; R<SP>2</SP>represents a 1-4C alkyl group; and n is an integer of 1-5).
