摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the irradiation of an extremely micro area with X-rays of high energy density. <P>SOLUTION: The X-ray focusing device 1 includes a multicapillary X-ray lens (MCX) 2 of a point/parallel type and a single capillary X-ray lens (SCX) 3 of a point/parallel type. The optical axes C2 and C3 of both lenses 2 and 3 are aligned by allowing them to face each other so that the end face of the parallel end 3a of the SCX 3 can be located in the vicinity of the position of the focal point of the focusing end 2b of the MCX 2. The X-rays collected efficiently by the MCX 2 emit from the focusing end 2b, hit the end face of the parallel end 3a of the SCX 3 and are captured efficiently into the SCX 3. Then, the focal point F of an extremely small diameter is irradiated intensively with X-rays from the focusing end 3b of the SCX 3. This constitution can compensate the disadvantages of the MCX where it is difficult to reduce the diameter of the focal point F in spite of high X-ray collection efficiency and the SCX which has low X-ray collection efficiency and low sensitivity though it can reduce the diameter of the focal point F while exploiting the advantages of both lenses 2 and 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
