PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting plant metabolite by which plant metabolite can be collected in a period longer than that by the conventional method. SOLUTION: The method for collecting plant metabolite includes connecting a collection pipe to at least either one of a wood part (vessel, tracheid) and a sieve part (sieve tube) of a plant to collect the plant metabolite through the collection pipe, and controlling the collection amount of the metabolite according to term, time, the amount of insolation, environmental temperature, or moisture.
