摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method employing a photoreceptor having a projecting and recessed pattern on the surface, the photoreceptor having uniform charge distribution when charges are applied to the photoreceptor, having blade slipping performance ensuring a high-speed process and improved cleaning property even when a polymerization toner having a small diameter is used, and giving stable image quality. SOLUTION: The image forming method includes at least steps of: forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrophotographic photoreceptor having the projecting and recessed pattern including a plurality of recesses and a plurality of projections on the surface of a photosensitive layer, in which surface roughness Rz on the top faces of the projections is 0.01μm or more and 0.5μm or less; and developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photoreceptor with a polymerization toner having a volume-based median diameter of 3μm or more and 8μm or less.
