PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform automatic light quantity control at high speed without useless lighting of a surface-emitting type semiconductor laser light source. SOLUTION: A plurality of laser beams output from the light source are separated into first laser beams for measuring light quantity and second laser beams for scanning a photoreceptor. In an APC control unit 402, voltage corresponding to the measured light quantity of the first laser beams is output, and a correction value by laser beam is calculated so that the voltage becomes a control target value with respect to each laser beam. A drive electric current value common in the respective laser beams is calculated, and a threshold value electric current value is calculated so as to achieveαtimes as large as a target value with respect to each laser beam when driving is performed by a drive electric current which isαtimes (αis a positive number) as large as the calculated drive electric current value. Based on the respective calculated values, the light quantity of each laser beam is controlled, and during the control, each stabilization is determined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
