PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treatment and/or prevention of graft versus host disease, to provide a method of treatment of the both of a donor and recipient animal especially donor and/or recipient animal or cells, tissues or organs derived from the donor, and to provide preventive/therapeutic method of graft versus host disease, using chaperonin 10, including the administration of at least one other immunosuppressive agent to the donor and/or recipient animal to prevent or alleviate the graft versus host disease. SOLUTION: There are provided a method of the administration of chaperonin 10 (Cpn-10) in treatment and/or prevention of graft versus host disease, including the administration of at least one other immunosuppressive agent selected from the group consisting of cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus, mycophenolate mofetil and methotrexate.
