PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic color display device capable of performing color displaying by subtractive color mixing and excellent in color reproducibility and image durability. SOLUTION: The electrophoretic color display device drives light transmissive particles dispersed in a light transmissive electrophoretic medium by a pair of electrodes to perform displaying, stacks two or more layers of electrophoretic parts containing light transmissive particles of different colors in a longitudinal direction, and performs color displaying by subtractive color mixing of yellow (Y), magenta (M), and cyan (C). a difference (half value width) in wavelength between two points taking half values of maximum light absorbance at the maximum absorbance wavelength of the magenta (M) is equal or more than 110 nm and equal to or less than 150 nm.
