PURPOSE: A system and method for offering augmented reality using server-side distributed image processing are provided to supply an augmented reality service to a terminal by using a server. CONSTITUTION: A system for offering augmented reality using server-side distributed image processing comprises: a server(200) which processes augmented reality by receiving an image signal from the outside, and transfers the image information through a streaming scheme; and a terminal(100) which receives an image signal by photographing an image, transfers the received image signal to the server, receives the augmented-reality processed image information from the server, and reproduces the image information received from the server.
