The device has an outer envelope for containing a cosmetic product, and a gas release system including a passage (23) for passing the gas from an interior of the device towards an exterior. The gas releasing system has a filter (25) that is made of Goretex(RTM: waterproof/breathable fabric) and closes the passage. The filter is provided with an outer layer (29) covering an open cell foam layer (27). The outer layer is impermeable to liquid and permeable to gases to allow discharge of gases outside the device through the passage.
