PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate molding member excellent in surface hardness and good in appearance, and to provide a polycarbonate useful as a raw material for the same. SOLUTION: The polycarbonate having Tg of 130 to 160°C is obtained from a compound (A), and the laminate molding member has a layer containing the polycarbonate as a main component. In formula (A), X is a formula; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>each denote a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, an iodine atom, or a 1-20C alkyl group, a 1-5C alkoxy group or a 6-12C aryl group, each of which may have a substituent; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>each denote a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, an iodine atom, or a 1-9C alkyl group, a 1-5C alkoxy group, a 2-12C alkenyl group or a 6-12C aryl group, each of which may have a substituent; R<SP>5</SP>is a 1-9C alkylene group which may have a substituent; and a denotes an integer of 0 to 20, and b denotes an integer of 1 to 500.
