摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device which accurately determines full charge, is favorable in efficiency, and small in physique. SOLUTION: Until a power accumulation capacity SOC reaches a threshold Sref or higher in the vicinity of the full charge, the charging device switches a transistor which is a switching element for charging a battery by converting AC power into DC power at a small frequency SF1, and charges the battery by large power Wb1, and after the power accumulation capacity SOC reaches or exceeds the threshold Sref, the charging device switches the transistor at a large frequency SF2, and charges the battery by small power Wb2. By this, while comparatively large current pulsation (ripple) is generated in a charge current Ib until the power accumulation capacity SOC reaches or exceeds the threshold Sref, the efficiency of power conversion can be raised, and only small current pulsation (ripple) is generated in the charge current Ib while the efficiency of power conversion is lowered after the power accumulation capacity SOC reaches or exceeds the threshold Sref, and thus the full charge can properly be determined.
