PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an attitude of a footrest member from a second attitude to a first attitude while locking the footrest member at the first attitude with one hand in a child seat for a bicycle in which the attitude of the footrest member provided on a front side of a seat portion can be changed from the first attitude to the second attitude where the footrest member is swung downward. SOLUTION: A locking member 29 is turned from a locking position and engaged with an engaging part 57, so that its attitude is changed to an engaging position where the downward swing of the footrest member 4 from the first attitude is regulated. The locking member 29 is slid from the engaging position, so that its attitude is changed to a lock releasing position. When the footrest member 4 is swung from the second attitude to the first attitude, the engaging part 57 presses the locking member 29 to slide the locking member 29 from the engaging position toward the lock releasing position against an urging force of a return spring 39. Accordingly, the engaging part 57 is allowed to pass and the locking member 29 is returned to the engaging position by the return spring 39 after the engaging part 57 passes.
