PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine improving the amusement of a game by allowing a player to intervene in the game and yet preventing Tomeuchi (stop of ball shooting at a certain timing). SOLUTION: This game machine includes a variable display means which executes a variable display game variably displaying a plurality of identification symbols on the basis that a game ball enters an operation-start winning area provided in a game area, and in the variable display game, produces a special game state advantageous to a player when the plurality of identification symbols is brought into a predetermined result mode. This game machine controls the mode of the identification symbols on the basis that a game ball detection means detects the passing of the game ball in a specific state.
