PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a high-reliability vehicle network system while avoiding high costs. SOLUTION: There is provided a network system including: a first communication terminal device 11 provided in a vehicle and having a function for communicating by a prescribed short-range wireless communication system; and a second communication terminal device 12 provided in a building, communicating with the first communication terminal device by the short-range wireless communication system, and having a function for communicating with a prescribed information center while being connected with the prescribed information center via an Internet line. The system is configured as follows. Short-range wireless communication is executed between the first communication terminal device and the second communication terminal device while executing Internet communication between the second communication terminal device and the information center, thereby allowing transmission/reception of information between the first communication terminal device of the vehicle and the information center.
