PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light emission efficiency at a range of 350-380 nm, by increasing the temperature at the coldest section making the tube wall load rise at a section corresponding to a valley of a standing wave formed with a microwave which is to be irradiated to an electrodeless lamp. SOLUTION: When iron enclosed in the electrodeless lamp light-emits ultraviolet rays of 350-380 nm on the basis of irradiation of a microwave, a center section diameter of a light-emitting tube of the electrodeless lamp is narrowed, in a range of 45-75% with respect to the other part of diameters of the light-emitting tube; and a thickness B within a range of 5 mm from end sealing sections 151, 152 is made thicker at 200% or more, with respect to a thickness C within a range of 5 to 10 mm of the light-emitting tube, and is set to 100% or more with respect to 1 mm thickness of the light-emitting tube from end sealing sections 151, 152. By making the light emission efficiency imrove by setting the tube wall load rise, the light-emitting tube has a shape suitable for the standing wave generated in the light-emitting tube.
