PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional dishwasher/dryer with a heater exclusive for washing, wherein the time to heat washing water to prescribed temperature is elongated or washing water cannot be heated to prescribed temperature because of impairment of heat transfer to washing water caused by adhesion and accumulation of food materials or the like on the surface of the heater, causing delay of the washing time and lowering of the washing performance. SOLUTION: In the dishwasher/dryer, the heater 61 exclusive for washing is energized in a draining step during the washing step, and the adhering deposit is burned by heating. As a result, the heater 61 exclusive for washing is always kept clean, achieving stable heating of washing water and keeping prescribed washing performance and washing time.
