The method involves fabricating a sealing sheet (4) that seals an opening (3) formed in a door lining (2), and positioning the sheet on the lining. A unit (10) folding the sheet is placed by gravity when the sheet is positioned vertically with respect to the door lining, where folding unit is formed of elastomer, and sheet is formed of polyethylene. The folding unit is placed by locating upper and lower edges (21, 22) of the sheet, arranging weights (11) on the lower edge and suspending the sheet according to prehension of the sheet by the upper edge in order to position the sheet vertically. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for fabricating a door.
